General announcement
First of all, we hope that everyone is having a great year and that your objectives and goals are being met.
Internally, the Eastern Iowa Chapter of SHPE has been busy with recent vacancies early in the year in our e-board. Both our VP and Treasurer were relocated to other states taking them away from the services to the chapter.
In light of this, the remaining board members are putting together a plan to continue the presence of the chapter in the Eastern Iowa area.
In order for this to happen, we would appreciate any feedback regarding services that you feel a chapter of SHPE should provide its members, as we have all noticed a light downward trend in membership participation. Now more than ever we want to make sure that we serve the needs of our members and continue to strive for excellence in being the number one source for quality hispanic engineers and technical talent.
Again, please feel free to share your comments and suggestions to make this the best chapter in our region.
A tentative schedule of our plans will be distributed in the coming weeks.
